Welcome to Fluss-Heim! The current owner has been building this one of a kind grand estate for the last 40 years. After investing just over $8,000,000 into the property, he is willing to pass it on to someone who will appreciate the special qualities of the estate, both natural and man-made. When entering the 1903 mansion, one is welcomed by a 3/4 ton solid mahogany paneled door with a 37 pound casted bronze knocker with a 1 inch thick lead crystal glass window. The foundation and all of the mason work of the 4 floor, 12,000 sq. ft mansion was built using quarried limestone by George Holdridge, a prominent stone mason in the early 1900's. The current owner has a deep appreciation for beautiful wood and stone, that he has carefully selected throughout his world travels and has incorporated some of the rarest, most picturesque stones and wood both on the inside and outside of the mansion. Much of the internal woodwork and carpentry was completed by master craftsman brought in from Europe. There is an approximate 2,400 sq. ft. red western cedar lodge with oversized timbers extending over a half acre pond built on piles driven down to the bedrock at the bottom of a 25 foot pond. The pond is full of bass, trout and grass carp. It has a 2,200 sq ft. Deck made of Ipaè, a maintenance free Brazilian hardwood with a 8 person hot tu (sp) overlooking the pond and Mt. Marino on the east bank of the Hudson River.
