Beautiful piece of history,Illinois' oldest saltbox built 1835

This is an opportunity to buy a piece of history. This beautiful historical house was built by James and Olive Seybold in 1835. In a a time when most homes here were 1 room cabins, the Seybolds, from New England hand built this Saltbox style home here, near Fishhook Illinois. This is a 4 room, 1 bath home on 2 secluded acres, with power, water, septic and air conditioner. There's a nice screened in porch that overlooks what use to be a garden. It is a 4 room home and is approximately 18 x 30 downstairs, upstairs and a full basement. Everything was originally made from local products, from the hand hewn white oak siding to the handmade walnut cabinets to the stone that laid the foundation, the flooring in the basement and the fireplaces. There is a center 8'x 8' fireplace chimney, and each of the 4 rooms has a fireplace, the kitchen was used for cooking and still has the original bake oven and Andirons. the parlor, used for a living room, the upstairs bedroom and the basement which was used for summertime cooking and storage. This house should be picked up and dropped into a museum, its fascinating to see all the work that was done and is still good today.
